Hi guys!

We've been working on some new designs and will be releasing 2 to print in 2 weeks! You guys would be able to pre-order too. A Pre-order discount will be available too!
Heres one of the designs coming up...

And... another exciting thing is that we're looking at a new material that could change color and design as you wear it! Thats a new wearable technology by one of my rersearcher friends. It isnt those shirts with LED lights embedded or with batteries which u have to take out and stuff. It is a fully washable and non battery reliant material. Well, research is still being done at the moment and a prototype is already out. Maybe soon next year we can be among the first in the world to bring this breakthough material to you!

Printing and launching's all in proccess.
Maybe we're a little slow, but it was a lot of planning, editing, some trial and error occassionally. We mightn't be quite experienced at this, but our MIC team's going strong, all driven by the same passion that made our clothes. =)

Bry's still a sad army boy while I'm a tired student and Fred's bored and worried.

Its All About The Music

"It's all about the music", a well known quote by Dharni for us beatboxers here in Singapore. At the time, everyone was always trying to be the best technically. The crispiest snare, the fastest beats, the clearest hi hats.. and through all that, we all forgot that beatboxing, isn't about all the technicall stuff. Its all about the music.

The second of our designs, we had the help of a very nice audio store owner who gave us the permission to photograph his collection of microphones. And with that, Mic Grave was born.

Oh, by the way, we're going to be holding a proper photo shoot soon, and for now, Freddy is going to be our model.

Hey everyone, a quick update on whats going on with MIC!

After several rounds of sending samples back and forth, we've finally confirmed the final samples and given our printers the go ahead to start production. The first batch of our tees are being printed, right now!

Also, we've confirmed our packaging, the zip-lock bags, also known as dust bags.

Here we have "Bound to Sound":

We wanted a really smooth gradient, and it took us two attempts to get the color right.

Oh and congratulations to Dharni for making it to the quarter finals in the Beatbox Battle World Championships!

Flea Market Over Easter Weekend

During the Easter weekend we had a store at a flea market, and damn, it was great! Now, I've been to several other flea markets and none were as packed as this. We hardly had time to rest, the crowd just kept coming and coming. Oh, we weren't selling MIC clothing, it was stuff we bought from different countries during our travels to raise money for MIC.

We had a great spot, right under the air-conditioner. And on the second day Freddy brought the controller because it was the same model as the one in his house. Heh.

Great job guys, the flea was a success =)

I'm not supposed to be using the computer here.. my head will be rolling if i get caught! So i'll make this a quick update.

We've just decided on our packaging. Plastic. Now, we wanna be environmentally friendly, so, why plastic? Plastic cuz we're making it reusable. it'll be zip-locked! so after pulling out your fresh new apparel from the bag, you get to keep it and use it for.. say, storing ice cold salmon, or something. and it'll look great too!

in other news, I've just opened a joint bank account for the business with beat.. and finally, our site is now officially at www.mic-ware.com ! its still under construction though, but stay tuned..

Freddy is back from china, we'll be having a meeting this sunday, can't wait for the updates! looks like we'll be printing our first batch real soon.

While everyone's working so hard, here I am being stuck in the army.
But no worries, I'll be doing all that I can still!

I'm really excited that the company is finally progressing, after such a long wait.
Things will really start moving once fred and feng are back from China.
By the way, our website is up!

Its at www.mic-clothing.com for now, but we'll be moving it in future. We'll keep you updated!

Though there are several errors that need to be rectified. For one, there isn't a $100 t-shirt (yet).

Its basically how its going to look. The real things gonna look even more sick. The details are added to the bottom of the picture to give you a basic idea how its gonna look too.

Also~ Swaroski Crystals are being considered to being added to the plain side of the sleeve. Designs are underway.

Meanwhile... Other news.

The production/design team will be going to Shanghai to source out quality factories and supervise the production process! It wont be long till the shirts are out!
We'll be reaching Shanghai International Airport on the 6th of March.

Revamped the layout a lil. Mostly the sizing issues cos the previous one was too "cramped up" I feel.

Anyway...

Zul was performing on the Live'n'Loaded show last night for MediaCorpTV and I came along to check things out and be a photographer. Met other friends there as they were having shoots for different programs. Was quite a fun day with Zul as we explored the place and cracked silly jokes NONSTOP. Hey, we were bored! Oh, and if you're wondering whose picture is that on the new banner on top, thats Zul wearing the "Music Never Dies" shirt I designed ^.^.

other news...
Web - Programmer getting everything together for the test run for public. I wanna use the chance to release the designs too. mmm.. or maybe i shall release the designs HERE when i release the trial site...
Production - Japan finally mailed us about the material of our shirts. They're ready to send the samples! Lets hope its as good as our expectations! Printing side, we got in mind a few factories but havent checked their stuff out. hopefully we can decide on a few potential ones when they send their work samples before this month is out.
Other worries - Contacted HumanBeatBox.com to be our main supporter. Things havent been confirmed but it seems pretty positive. Cant help but worry about how things turn out everyday.
Lets spread beatboxing to the world!!! ^_^
